The position, while having no direct reports, will be responsible for the overall health and development of select customer relationships, which includes the mentoring of other customer-focused team members.At Pursuit Aerospace, we're looking for individuals who thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and are passionate about organizational excellence. The preference is that the incumbent lives in the Southwest region of the US, ideally Arizona or Texas.ResponsibilitiesCreating and managing a customer roadmap that defines multi-year targets and KPIs by product area, site, and programCreating customer specific growth strategies that tie to Pursuit's current and desired manufacturing capabilitiesBuilding and managing a new business pipeline to achieve account growth targetsManaging, improving, and extending existing contracts to achieve sales and margin targetsEstablishing relationships with customer engineering, supply chain, and executive personnelDrafting new business proposals and negotiating subsequent awardsAssisting site Account Managers and General Managers with customer requirement understanding and Pursuit obligationsEscalating customer relationship issues to Pursuit executives in a timely and responsible mannerRequired QualificationsBachelor's DegreeMinimum of 10+ years of account management and/or customer facing work experienceMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.Preferred QualificationsBachelors in Engineering or Business preferredAccount Management experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry is strongly preferred, automotive and/or industrial manufacturing will also be consideredAbility to interpret technical data and understand opportunity fit with each manufacturing site's capabilitiesKnowledge of manufacturing environments: machining, sheet metal, fabrications, castings, forgingsKnowledge of how OEM supply chain and engineering functions workAbility to create clear and impactful presentations for internal and external customersAbility to understand and talk fundamental economics behind deal financials, including cost, investment parameters and pricing elementsAbility to understand and talk the fundamental industrialization elements behind deal frameworks including manpower, machine selection, manufacturing methods, materials and measurement particularsAbility to program manage key initiatives to successful outcomesWorking ConditionsMust be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floorOccasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.AcknowledgementsThe above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
