Job Summary: The Director, Claims - Coverage will manage claims-related coverage litigation involving Everest Insurance companies and provide coverage support to Claims and Underwriting. The position will report to the VP of Claims - Coverage. This is a hybrid position based in either Warren, NJ, New York City or Philadelphia, PA working 3 days onsite, 2 remote. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Responsible for all aspects of claim-related lawsuits and arbitrations involving Everest companies, ensuring that appropriate and cost-effective resolution strategies are in place Oversee and manage day-to-day litigation activities in partnership with Claims, Law and Underwriting colleagues and counsel Maintain "Best Practices" for handling coverage litigation, including budgeting, reserving, and implementing appropriate resolution strategies Supervise outside counsel and ensure compliance with guidelines for coverage counsel with respect to litigated and non-litigated matters, in collaboration and consultation with internal stakeholders Provide pre-litigation coverage support to N.A.
