About MLV DC MLV DC will compete as one of three expansion teams in the 2027 season and deliver women’s professional volleyball, one of the fastest growing sports, to the nation’s capital. Anchored in strong regional youth participation, abundant collegiate talent, and an avid local sports fanbase, the franchise will strengthen the major-league footprint of the District and cement it as the Sports Capital. All United Sports and Entertainment (AUSE), led by CEO Jason Levien, adds the team to its robust roster which also includes DC United and DC Power. About the Role The Director, Corporate Partnerships is an ambitious brand builder and connector with sponsorship sales experience in sports or entertainment. To be successful in the role requires sales acumen with the ability to develop and sell customized partnerships to a mix of national brands and local businesses. Corporate Partnerships play a critical role in establishing the expansion team, engaging fans, and meeting revenue goals The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the women’s sports landscape and bring bold, fresh ideas for how to attract brands to enter the professional volleyball arena as it takes off. Reporting to the Team President, the Director will work closely with team leadership, cross-functional colleagues, and partnership sales within the broader AUSE organization to develop and deliver a clear action plan for near- and long-term corporate partnership revenue for the franchise. Responsibilities Include: Build and manage a prospect pipeline of local, regional, and national companies that align with the team brand and civic and consumer audiences Develop and deliver turnkey sponsorship materials and tailored partner proposals Oversee end-to-end sales process for all partnerships Inform and manage team sponsorship assets and inventory Liaise with MLV sponsorship team to deliver league partnerships, coordinating joint proposals where appropriate and beneficial Identify and craft unique partnership opportunities that generate incremental revenue through fan engagement and/or deliver budget relief for the organization Serve as the primary point of contact for all sponsors to deliver on all deal terms and provide postseason summary Deliver all sponsor assets and activations, ensuring appropriate internal staff and external partners are briefed and receive assets Utilize match days to host key partners, stakeholders, and prospects Attend local meetings and events relevant to sponsor interests and pipeline development Meet local sponsorship revenue goals on an annual basis Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of sponsorship sales and activation experience driving quantifiable revenue, preferably for sports or live events Proven experience with prospect research, pipeline building, materials development and deal negotiations Strong understanding of the DMV market and sports landscape, including key contacts and connections to best leverage for team partnerships Service mentality to meet near-term deliverables and cultivate long-term relationships Enthusiasm for creative thinking that translates into actionable plans Natural and dynamic sales, presentation, and communication skills Self motivated and proactive communicator with the ability to adeptly manage the flow of all relationships and workstreams Excellent teammate who can collaborate without ego and be flexible to change Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with a high volume of tasks and deliverables Other duties relevant to growing the business Additional Details: Based in Washington, DC working primarily out of Audi Field and home playing venue Expected to work all home matches and team events Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays as required Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Able to lift 15+ pounds at a time Local travel to events and meetings Minimal out of market travel (<10%) Application Question(s):
