Energy Talent Search is working with a healthcare-focused organization looking to bring on a Director to oversee facilities operations across a large, multi-site footprint. This role is more about owning performance and decision-making across the portfolio than getting into the weeds. You’ll be working closely with operations and leadership to determine where resources are deployed, how projects are prioritized, and how sites are maintained overall. What You’d Actually Be Doing Overseeing facilities performance across a broad network of locations Determining where capital is allocated—renovations, upgrades, and ongoing improvements Managing third-party vendors responsible for execution across sites Reviewing and approving project spend while keeping budgets on track Partnering with operations leadership to prioritize needs across locations Evaluating site conditions and identifying areas for improvement Ensuring facilities are running safely, efficiently, and in line with internal standards Supporting a mix of ongoing maintenance, refresh work, and larger-scale upgrades Making calls in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities Requirements What They’re Looking For 8–10 years of experience in facilities, property, or construction/project management Background supporting multi-site operations (not just a single location) Experience overseeing budgets tied to capital projects and maintenance programs Comfortable managing vendors and holding them accountable Ability to work across a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders Proven leadership experience with both direct and indirect oversight What the Role Feels Like You’re responsible for a large, distributed portfolio , not one building Heavy coordination between operations, vendors, and internal teams Focus is on prioritization, execution, and oversight—not hands-on technical work Expect consistent travel to sites (roughly half your time depending on needs) Why This Role Stands Out High level of ownership across a large footprint Strong visibility with leadership Direct impact on capital decisions and site performance Broad scope across facilities, operations, and project execution Benefits Background Degree in a related field (business, construction, engineering, etc.) is typical Advanced degree is a plus, but not required Compensation $150K – $175K base , depending on experience
