Position Overview The Director of Advocacy, Education & Volunteer Services is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of the Center Advocacy Network (CAN), victim services, volunteer engagement, education initiatives, and guest services operations. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple service areas, ensuring the integration of advocacy, training, education, and community access into a cohesive system. This role is responsible for operationalizing advocacy, education, and volunteer service strategies in alignment with the vision and direction of the Chief Programs Officer. Reporting to the Chief Programs Officer, this Director oversees program staff, develops infrastructure to support advocacy and volunteer engagement, and ensures that services are delivered with consistency, accountability, and high standards of care. This role is responsible for building and managing systems that support CAN advocate training, hands-on advocacy development, and direct victim services. The Director plays a key role in strengthening the Center’s response to individuals experiencing crisis, violence, or victimization, while also leading the expansion of educational programming and community partnerships. This position requires both strong leadership and the ability to engage directly in advocacy work when needed. Key Responsibilities: Advocacy and Victim Services Leadership Oversee the daily operations and development of victim services and advocacy programs Provide direct supervision to: Community Learning & Education Manager Volunteer Engagement and Victim Support Manager Victim Services Coordinator Guest Services Coordinator Ensure victim services are delivered in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and confidential manner Provide support and escalation for complex or high-risk situations, including direct involvement when needed Establish accountability, performance expectations, and quality standards across advocacy services Center Advocacy Network (CAN) Strategy and Implementation Lead the development and implementation of the Center Advocacy Network as an integrated system that includes training, victim services, and advocacy practice Oversee CAN training strategy and curriculum in collaboration with the Community Learning & Education Manager Develop and implement a structured pipeline for transitioning CAN graduates into active advocacy roles, including: Shadowing opportunities Hotline training and coverage On-site advocacy shifts Establish systems for scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of CAN advocates Ensure effective utilization of trained advocates and completion of required service hours Education and Training Development Lead the development and expansion of the Center’s education platform, including CAN Teen and future courses Oversee the integration of online and in-person training models Develop partnerships with community organizations to expand educational offerings Ensure training and educational materials align with best practices and organizational priorities Volunteer Engagement and Program Alignment Provide direct oversight and restructuring of volunteer engagement systems Establish clear expectations, roles, and accountability for volunteer participation across programs and advocacy services Implement standardized onboarding, training, scheduling, and tracking processes Strengthen alignment between volunteer services and CAN to support advocacy efforts Guest Services and Community Access Oversee guest services and front desk operations as the primary entry point for community members Lead the development and implementation of improved guest services systems, including electronic check-in and service tracking Establish consistent protocols and expectations for front desk operations Ensure guest services are welcoming, efficient, and aligned with program and advocacy needs Community Partnerships and Collaboration Develop and maintain partnerships with organizations supporting advocacy, victim services, and education Collaborate with external agencies to expand training opportunities and service access Represent The Center in community meetings, partnerships, and collaborative initiatives as needed Grant Development, Management, and Reporting Lead grant writing efforts related to advocacy, education, and volunteer services in collaboration with the Chief Progr
