Job Description
Center Director oversees the operations of the childcare center aligning it with the Center’s and the church’s values and mission. · Supervise a team of 4–6 teachers by fostering a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment for children. · Manage staff hiring, required training, and ongoing state- and program-mandated professional development; observe performance, provide feedback, and support staff growth. · Build a positive school culture that fosters belonging and community while supporting children’s growth and learning, as well as staff and family engagement. · Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and maintain organized recordkeeping for the center’s daily operations. · Communicate clearly and effectively with staff, families, immediate supervisor, and church governing committees. · Ensure compliance with all applicable state, county, city, and program-related requirements for the center and its staff. · Provide classroom support in preschool and school-age programs as needed. · Perform other duties as needed in support of center operations and leadership responsibilities. The Director must meet all requirements set by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, including background checks, education, certifications, and training. A minimum of five years of experience in education or early childhood education is required.
