Title: Director of Facilities & Safety Salary: $75,000/annually Schedule: Monday-Friday, with flexibility for emergencies or special projects Locations: Northern Rhode Island-Cumberland-Lincoln and Woonsocket Overview: The Director of Facilities & Safety ensures the security, maintenance, and safety of all BGCNRI facilities. Responsibilities include conducting the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) annual safety assessment, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and overseeing facilities operations to provide a safe environment for youth, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily operations, repairs, and preventative maintenance for all facilities and equipment. Perform and oversee basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs, coordinating with professionals as needed. Lead the BGCA annual safety assessment and implement an action plan for compliance. Design and update safety protocols, emergency response plans, and conduct quarterly safety inspections. Investigate accidents, identify causes, and implement corrective actions. Supervise maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety and performance standards. Manage facility improvement projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor oversight. Oversee the safe operation of gym equipment and Club vehicles. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years in facilities management or safety compliance. Proficiency with tools, basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety codes; CFM or OSHA 30-Hour preferred. Must be or become CPR, First Aid, and AED certified, Required to sit, stand, talk, or hear; via computer, telephone, or in person as needed. Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. May be required to work indoors and outdoors in varying environment conditions. Possess a valid Driver's License and obtain/maintain a Chauffer's License.
