Director of Finance

Our client is a design-first fashion wholesaler. They seek a Director of Finance to join their Manhattan, NY office. Responsibilities Establish a structured monthly close process with defined timelines and accountability Ensure accurate matching of revenue, cost of goods sold, and operating expenses Strengthen balance sheet integrity through improved reconciliation procedures Deliver timely, reliable financial statements and management reporting Design and implement robust inventory accounting processes to improve accuracy and visibility Improve reconciliation between inventory systems and the general ledger Partner with operations and supply chain to enhance financial transparency around inventory and COGS Lead improvements in finance systems, reducing manual processes through automation and integration Oversee and develop accounting staff, establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability Provide strategic financial insight to ownership, supporting margin improvement, forecasting, and cross-functional decision-making Requirements 8-15 years of accounting experience Wholesale industry experience Inventory experience required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented and highly analytical CPA preferred Job ID # 47978 Tagged as: Hybrid Remote/Office
