Director of Fundraising

Company Description SAMA - South Asians in Media and Arts Foundation is dedicated to empowering storytellers and creatives across the United States and India. The organization expands access to education, opportunities, and resources in film, television, digital media, music, and performing arts. Additionally, SAMA supports children and strengthens schools in underserved communities. Through initiatives in storytelling, education, and cultural exchange, SAMA fosters the growth of the next generation of creators and leaders. Role Description This is a part time, hybrid, Director of Fundraising role. The Director of Fundraising will oversee the development and execution of fundraising strategies to support the foundation’s mission. Responsibilities include cultivating relationships with major donors, leading annual giving campaigns, identifying new fundraising opportunities, and managing donor communications. Qualifications Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with major donors and philanthropic partners Expertise in Annual Giving and other fundraising strategies Strong skills in Communication and relationship management Experience in Strategic Planning to drive effective fundraising initiatives Deep understanding and passion for philanthropy and nonprofit fundraising principles Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills Familiarity with the South Asian community and an understanding of its cultural landscape is preferred but not mandatory
