Job Description
About Us: New Hope Treatment Centers is a dynamic and innovative company focused on one thing - Change the world, one kid at a time, through the healing power of relationships. In our line of work, the need is great, and we’re constantly growing to meet it. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on quality, we are dedicated to shaping the future of our industry. As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Juvenile Justice Mental Health Program to join our team in Butler, NC. Since our opening in 1987, New Hope Treatment Centers has been a welcoming place for young people in moments of crisis. Our programs have played a role in countless success stories, thanks to our relational approach to behavioral care. We get to know our kids on an individual level, and work with them and their families toward a brighter next chapter. If any part of our mission has you inspired, we urge you to get in touch. It might be the best decision you make this year. Essential Functions: Provide overall leadership for program operations, ensuring alignment with both DJJ and New Hope priorities. Facilitate joint leadership meetings, cross-agency committees, and case conferences. Collaboratively work with DJJ to resolve interagency conflicts regarding policy, clinical authority, placement decisions, etc. Monitor fidelity to evidence-based models, including Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and trauma informed care approaches. Provide guidance on high-acuity youth, crisis interventions, and behavioral management strategies. Manage staff recruitment, supervision, and performance evaluations across the program. Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and protocols. Monitor staffing ratios, workload distribution, and coverage for program. Develop and monitor risk management protocols, including critical incident reporting and safety oversight. Lead development of manuals, SOPs, and toolkits to ensure standardized, high-quality service delivery. Leadership Expectations We expect that you are a multiplier of people and impact, not an individual do-er of tasks We expect that you are constantly developing yourself and developing those under you You should be delegating, not dumping, and empowering others around you for future leadership opportunities Always be succession planning Set the tone for a culture of excellence and trauma-informed care We measure leaders by outcomes, not outputs. We don’t value how many hours a leader clocks, only how much impact they make. New Hope Character & Values Be the most optimistic person in every room you walk in Be strengths-focused and solution-focused Be an exceptional teammate Manage conflict with a high degree of emotional and social intelligence Self-awareness – know what you need, when you need it, and how to appropriately advocate for it We don’t talk negatively to or about the kids and families we serve Be a person inside and outside of New Hope that our clients would look up to Do not partake in or tolerate any toxicity, triangulation or any conduct that is counter to the New Hope culture and mission Qualifications: Master's degree in related field; licensure preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in Juvenile Justice, behavioral health, or a related human services field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or program management role.
