APPLICATIONS THROUGH THE INDEED PLATFORM WILL NOT BE REVIEWED The Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) is seeking a relationship-driven fundraiser to lead our individual giving program and help grow a healthier, more connected, and more bike-friendly Marin. This is not a traditional fundraising job. At MCBC, donor meetings often happen on road rides, mountain bike trails, over coffee, or at community events. We are looking for someone who can authentically connect with supporters, build lasting relationships, confidently ask for significant gifts, and help lead the strategy and execution of our individual giving program. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable: riding up to the lakes on Mt. Tam with supporters, leading a donor meeting over coffee, organizing a fundraising campaign in collaboration with the Communications Manager, building the right audience for fundraising events, managing a donor pipeline, and making a direct ask for a $25,000, $50,000, or $100,000 gift. This is a rare opportunity to combine fundraising, project management, relationship-building, and cycling culture in a role where being out on your bike is genuinely part of the work. MCBC is a fully remote organization based in Marin County. Candidates must live in Marin County or be willing to relocate. About the Role The Director of Major Gifts and Membership leads MCBC’s individual giving program, including: major gifts, annual giving, membership giving, donor stewardship, fundraising event audience development, and campaign coordination. Represent MCBC within the community and serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for bicycling and active transportation. Qualifications Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor engagement, sales, business development, or related relationship-based work. Proven experience successfully soliciting and closing 5-figure gifts. Experience closing 6-figure gifts preferred. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
