Job Description
Overview Emmanuel United Methodist Church is looking for it’s next Worship Leader! We currently offer one worship service on Sunday morning at 10:00am that is blended (a traditional hymn and contemporary praise and worship music) with a choral piece sung by our volunteer choir each Sunday from Labor Day through Memorial Day (choir is off during the summer months). Emmanuel United Methodist Church is a loving congregation with a missional focus! The 2026 Emmanuel UMC Family Prayer reads, “Lord, help us to remember that we are a family that learns and grows together. Help us break through the limitations of this world to seek our dreams, aligned with God’s will, of becoming a place where the needs of our community are met, where relationships are built, and where Jesus Christ remains our heart. Amen.” The volunteer choir and volunteer praise band are small groups that participate in worship by bringing a joyful noise to praise the Lord! These not professional groups, but dedicated groups that love music and love Jesus. These groups pray and care for one another deeply! As the Worship Leader at Emmanuel UMC, your first and primary responsibility will be to lead and care for these volunteers and help facilitate their continued relationships.
