OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Native Plant Production and Programs to lead our native plant cultivation efforts and educational initiatives.This leadership role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, plant production, and team management within a dynamic environment.The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with assembly lines, and warehouse operations to ensure the successful development and implementation of native plant programs.This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to ecological sustainability while overseeing complex production activities in a manufacturing facility setting.Duties Lead and coordinate native plant propagation, cultivation, and distribution processes to meet project goals and deadlines Oversee daily operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficiency and safety standards are maintained Manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment necessary for plant production Supervise staff involved in assembly line activities, plant handling, and warehouse operations Operate and maintain equipment such as forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and other machinery essential for production tasks Implement quality control procedures to ensure healthy plant growth and high-quality output Collaborate with educational teams to develop programs that promote native plant awareness and conservation efforts Maintain compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular training sessions for staff on safe equipment use and operational procedures Optimize workflow by integrating mechanical knowledge into process improvements and troubleshooting operational issues Skills Proven experience with forklift operation, warehouse management, and factory or manufacturing environments Strong mechanical knowledge related to assembly lines, machinery maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques used in manufacturing settings Background in factory or manufacturing facility operations with an emphasis on efficiency and safety standards Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across multiple departments Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies or processes within a manufacturing or production environment Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and quality assurance processes Knowledge of native plant species is a plus but not required; a passion for ecological sustainability is essential This position offers an engaging leadership opportunity for individuals passionate about native plants, ecological conservation, and innovative manufacturing practices.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission through effective program management and operational excellence.Pay:$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits:Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Professional development assistance Work Location:In person.
