Job Description
Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care. Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and best practices in accordance with state, federal, and facility standards. Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability. Manage staffing schedules to maintain appropriate coverage across all shifts. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards. Lead survey readiness efforts and maintain compliance with CMS and state regulations. Conduct resident assessments and participate in care planning to meet individualized needs. Provide staff education and professional development opportunities. Manage budgets, resources, and department goals in alignment with facility objectives. Serve as a liaison with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. Qualifications: Current RN license in North Carolina. Minimum 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in skilled nursing/long-term care. In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations, including CMS guidelines. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated success in survey readiness and regulatory compliance. Benefits: Competitive salary and performance incentives.
