Director of Nursing (RN) – SNF & LTC Location: Easton, MD Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / Long-Term Care (LTC) Compensation: $120,000–$130,000 base salary + bonus potential Relocation: Up to $10,000 relocation assistance available Job Summary A large, well-established Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility (195 beds) is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (RN) to serve as a senior clinical leader. This role offers the opportunity to positively impact resident outcomes while leading, developing, and supporting nursing staff in a post-acute care environment. Reporting directly to the Nursing Home Administrator, the Director of Nursing is responsible for all nursing operations, regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, and staff performance. The ideal candidate is a decisive, resident-focused leader with strong long-term care expertise. Responsibilities Nursing Leadership & Operations Lead and oversee all nursing staff across the facility Promote a culture of respect, accountability, and professional growth Develop, implement, and evaluate staffing plans Conduct routine rounds to assess resident care quality Serve as a clinical and educational resource to nursing staff Resident Care Oversight Ensure resident care plans are accurate, current, and properly executed Monitor documentation standards and clinical follow-through Support residents and families during complex and transitional care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapy and physicians Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local long-term care regulations Maintain survey readiness and oversee plans of correction Investigate clinical, safety, and compliance-related incidents Author and maintain nursing policies and procedures Staff Development & Engagement Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate nursing staff Lead ongoing in-service education programs Provide structured coaching and mentoring Address performance issues and take corrective actions as needed Administrative & Financial Management Participate in budget and labor management planning Implement staffing efficiencies while maintaining care quality Support effective clinical recordkeeping and reporting systems Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BSN preferred ; MSN a plus Minimum 3 years of progressive nursing leadership in SNF or post-acute care Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey processes Experience with geriatrics, dementia care, and post-acute services preferred Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Schedule Monday–Friday, day shift On-call rotation required Weekends as needed Benefits Competitive compensation with bonus potential Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Life Insurance Referral Program Supportive, hands-on leadership team About Us This opportunity is offered through a well-established, skilled nursing and rehabilitation organization committed to excellence in resident care.
