Job Description
Solar Eclipse New York is a design-led accessories and lifestyle brand transforming everyday objects into collectible, expressive pieces. Our products are carried by leading global retailers including Nordstrom, Anthropologie, MoMA Design Store, and Le Bon Marché. As we scale rapidly across wholesale, retail, and international markets, we are hiring a Director of Operations to build and lead the systems that power the business. This is a high-impact role focused on execution, infrastructure, and innovation - including integrating AI and automation into core workflows. This role reports directly to the Founder and will operate as a key partner in scaling the business across all channels. About the Role This is not a purely managerial role - we are looking for someone who is both strategic and deeply hands-on . You will own day-to-day operations across production, wholesale, logistics, and trade, while building the systems, tools, and processes that allow the company to scale efficiently. You should be excited about using AI, automation, and creative problem-solving to rethink how operations are run. What You’ll Do Production & Supply Chain Own production timelines across global factories Oversee sampling, approvals, and bulk production execution Partner with logistics teams on freight, routing, and delivery Identify and implement process improvements using AI and automation Wholesale Operations Own purchase order tracking, ship windows, and retailer requirements Ensure accurate, on-time fulfillment across accounts Manage compliance and proactively reduce chargebacks Build smarter systems for tracking, reporting, and execution Trade Shows & Retail Activations Lead logistics and planning for trade shows and pop-ups Oversee booth execution, staffing coordination, and timelines Implement systems for lead tracking and post-show follow-ups Inventory & Planning Oversee inventory tracking and demand planning Align production with wholesale and retail forecasts Explore AI-driven forecasting and planning tools Systems & Process Innovation Build and refine operational systems across all functions Identify repetitive workflows and replace them with automation Implement tools that improve visibility, speed, and decision-making Create scalable infrastructure to support rapid growth Who You Are 5+ years experience in operations, production, or supply chain (consumer brand preferred) Strong operator with both strategic thinking and hands-on execution ability Systems-oriented-you don’t just manage processes, you improve them Comfortable using (or eager to adopt) AI tools to increase efficiency Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments Experience with wholesale and/or retail partners is a strong plus Excited to build, take ownership, and grow with the company Significant opportunity for role expansion and leadership growth Details Full-time, based in NYC (Flatiron office) High-ownership role with direct exposure to leadership Opportunity to help build the operational backbone of a globally scaling brand To Apply Please apply via LinkedIn or send your resume along with a brief note on relevant experience.
