Director of Operations (Multi-Site Dermatology Practice) We are seeking a Director of Operations to lead and scale a growing, multi-location dermatology practice (Media and Paoli, PA). This role is responsible for end-to-end operational performance, including financial outcomes, staffing models, patient experience, and expansion to additional sites. The Director will partner directly with physician leadership to drive efficiency, profitability, and growth, while building a disciplined, metrics-driven organization. Highlights High-impact leadership role with direct influence on growth and performance Opportunity to build and scale a multi-site medical platform Seeking an operator, not just an administrator Core Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple clinical locations Standardize workflows to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability Optimize patient flow, scheduling templates, and capacity utilization Implement best practices across clinical and administrative functions Financial & KPI Ownership Develop and track key metrics Own and manage practice-level P&L performance Provider productivity (collections, visits/session) Revenue by service line (medical, surgical, cosmetic) Staffing ratios and labor cost as % of revenue Identify and execute opportunities to improve margin and revenue capture Staffing & Organizational Development Redesign and optimize staffing models across locations Recruit, train, and manage clinical and administrative leadership Establish accountability structures and performance management systems Improve retention and culture through clear expectations and leadership development Revenue Cycle & Business Operations Oversee front-end and back-end revenue cycle performance Optimize provider and cosmetic schedules Partner with billing teams to reduce denials and improve cash flow Evaluate and optimize vendor relationships (EMR, merchant services, supplies) Growth & Expansion Lead operational planning and execution for expansion Develop scalable infrastructure for multi-site growth Evaluate new services and ancillary offerings Ensure new locations launch efficiently and achieve performance targets Patient Experience & Brand Execution Ensure a consistent, high-quality patient experience across all sites Implement systems for feedback and reputation management Support growth of cosmetic/aesthetic services through operational excellence Required Qualifications 2+ years of operational leadership in a multi-provider medical practice Demonstrated ownership of financial performance (P&L, KPIs, cost control) Experience managing teams across multiple locations Strong analytical and process-improvement capabilities Preferred Qualifications Experience in dermatology or other procedural specialties Experience scaling a practice (e.g., adding providers, opening new locations) MBA or equivalent business training Background in optimizing revenue cycle and payer performance Compensation Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) Performance-based bonus tied to: Profitability Growth metrics Operational improvements Reporting Structure Reports directly to physician-owners Serves as the senior operational leader of the organization What Success Looks Like (First 12–18 Months) Improved provider productivity and scheduling efficiency Measurable increase in revenue and/or margin Standardized operations across all locations Successful launch of additional site(s) Strong, accountable leadership team in place Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Application Question(s): Are you including a cover letter with this application (required)?
