Our Director plays a central role in shaping the school’s culture, supporting staff, and ensuring high‑quality Montessori education. Position Summary The Director oversees daily school operations, leads educational quality, supports staff development, and builds strong relationships with families. This role requires a balance of Montessori leadership, administrative expertise, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Educational Leadership — Ensure Montessori principles and developmentally appropriate practices are upheld across all classrooms. Staff Management — Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teachers and support staff. Family Communication — Maintain open, supportive communication with families; lead conferences and community events. Operations Oversight — Manage scheduling, enrollment, budgeting, record‑keeping, and facility needs. Regulatory Compliance — Ensure adherence to Arizona DHS licensing standards and Montessori accreditation guidelines and Arizona Charter School regulations. Community Outreach — Represent the school in the Oro Valley community and support enrollment growth. Safety & Well‑Being — Maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children and staff. Responsibilities Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or equivalent) strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred 3–5 years of Montessori teaching and/or administrative experience Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge or experience working with the Arizona Department of Health Services and licensing regulations Knowledge or experience working with the Arizona Charter School regulations Ability to build a positive, collaborative school culture Ideal Candidate Passionate about authentic Montessori education Warm, approachable, and community‑oriented Skilled at balancing administrative and instructional leadership Confident decision‑maker with strong problem‑solving abilities Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off and holidays Professional development support Tuition discounts for staff children Retirement Plan
