Overview We are a national behavioral health treatment provider is opening a brand new inpatient facility in Colorado and is seeking a Director of Operations to lead all non-clinical operations.Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role serves as a key operational leader responsible for facility operations, safety, staffing, and regulatory readiness.The Director of Operations ensures that all operational systems--including BHT oversight, facilities, food services, and environment of care--support high-quality, compliant patient care at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership Oversee all day-to-day facility operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance Provide direct supervision of Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), Facilities Manager, and Dietary/Kitchen operations Maintain operational readiness and ensure the facility is always survey-ready for regulatory inspections Partner with Executive and Clinical Leadership to align operations with census needs and patient acuity Environment of Care & Safety Oversee environment of care, life safety systems, and emergency preparedness programs Ensure completion of safety drills, inspections, logs, and corrective action tracking Monitor and enforce infection control, sanitation, and risk management protocols Maintain oversight of incident reporting systems and ensure timely follow-up and resolution Facilities & Support Services Oversight Supervise facilities operations including preventative maintenance, plant operations, and environmental safety Oversee dietary and food service operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and dietary requirements Coordinate facility transport logistics in collaboration with admissions and clinical teams Staffing & Team Management Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced inpatient setting Ensure appropriate staffing models, scheduling, and coverage aligned with regulatory standards Oversee training compliance, performance management, and supervision practices Review and approve departmental payroll/timecards Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), Joint Commission/CARF, and state licensing requirements Maintain required policies, postings, documentation, and inspection records Participate in quality improvement initiatives and operational committees Safeguard HIPAA compliance and patient rights protections Financial & Administrative Oversight Manage departmental budgets and monitor operational expenditures Support hiring, onboarding, and scaling operations for a new facility launch Facilitate facility tours for regulators, partners, and stakeholders Maintain availability for after-hours or emergency operational needs QualificationsRequired 3-5years of operations leadership experience in inpatient behavioral health, substance use disorder, or residential treatment Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare environment Experience with facility operations, environment of care, or plant management Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, state licensing, and survey readiness Experience with budgeting and operational resource management Prior experience working within behavioral health or addiction treatment organizations Preferred Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Behavioral Health, or related field Experience working under Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) regulations Experience opening or scaling a new behavioral health facility Formal leadership or management training Job Type:Full-time Pay:$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience:behavioral health treatment:4 years (Required) operations leadership:2 years (Required) team leadership:2 years (Required) Work Location:In person.
