The Role: We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Procurement and Logistics to lead our supply chain operations. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing global logistics, and optimizing the flow of goods from suppliers to customers. You’ll collaborate with finance, operations, and executive leadership to ensure cost-efficiency, mitigate supply chain risks, and achieve organizational growth targets. What You’ll Do Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify and qualify new suppliers through global market research and networking; maintain a robust supplier base and drive strategic partnerships to ensure quality and reliability. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning: Analyze organizational needs to develop comprehensive procurement and logistics strategies; forecast demand and align inventory levels to support business goals. Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead high-level negotiations with vendors and freight carriers; structure complex contracts, handle pricing agreements, and secure favorable terms while protecting company margins. Logistics & Distribution Oversight: Manage the end-to-end transportation network; optimize freight lanes, oversee warehousing partners, and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of goods to all stakeholders. Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Product, and Sales leadership to align procurement budgets, provide feedback on material availability, and ensure supply chain continuity supports revenue goals. Administrative & Reporting: Maintain governance over ERP/procurement systems; establish KPIs, track spending against budget, and provide regular executive reports on supply chain performance and cost savings. Market Intelligence & Risk Mitigation: Gather market data on commodity trends, geopolitical factors, and competitor supply chains to inform strategy and proactively mitigate risks. What We’re Looking For Experience: 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or logistics management; substantial leadership experience is required. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or professional certifications like APICS/CIPS is a plus). Communication: Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills; ability to justify complex strategies to stakeholders and the C-suite. Relationship Building: Proven ability to build trust with key suppliers, manage internal cross-functional relationships, and develop long-term strategic alliances. Negotiation & Cost Control: Demonstrated success in driving significant cost reductions and negotiating multi-year master service agreements (MSAs). Problem Solving: Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret P&L statements and translate business needs into viable supply chain solutions. Systems & Tools: Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and familiarity with modern supply chain analytics and visualization tools. Resilience & Adaptability: Strategic thinker who is self-motivated and comfortable navigating a volatile global supply chain environment. Team Collaboration: Collaborative mindset; comfortable leading diverse teams and working across international borders and time zones. Compensation & Benefits We believe in paying top-of-market rates for top-tier talent. The base salary range for this role is $210,000 to $250,000 + commission, with exact placement determined by your skills, years of experience, and interview performance.
