While this role carries accountability for Burial's revenue streams, this does not represent the primary emphasis. The spotlight is on the experiences. Thus, internally, this role is more appropriately (and endearingly) referred to as the Director of Experiences. As a member of the Leadership team, the Director of Experiences plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the company’s vision through customer experiences across all of Burial’s revenue channels. This role collaborates closely with the Brand and Production directors to define and uphold the quality and presentation of all Burial Beer Co. products and experiences across our owned retail locations, wholesale marketplace, and online shop. The Director of Experiences is a leader of leaders, adept at understanding and guiding all human and financial aspects of multiple business units. INTEGRITY - Setting and upholding a standard of quality for the processes we implement, the products we craft, the experiences we create and the values we embody WHAT YOU'LL DO Leadership & Accountability Report directly to the Company's Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and serve on the Company’s leadership team. Act as principal subject matter expert for the delivery of the company's products into customer experiences, both inside our doors and beyond them. Provide leadership, direction, coaching, support and strategic oversight to retail general managers, wholesale general manager and facilities manager (the "Experience Managers") Set and enforce KPIs by department/location Build a culture of elemental ownership, not escalation Responsible for maintaining accountability for the achievement of Hospitality Standards and Financial Standards with their retail leaders on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. Revenue & Performance Ownership Own our retail location revenue, public and private event revenue, online store revenue and wholesale performance Work within the Leadership team to develop the Company vision into strategies to achieve through our retail and wholesale customer experiences Collaborate with the CSO and Leadership team on establishing the standards of financial performance for top and bottom lines ("Financial Standards") expected in our retail business outlets Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improved customer experience and revenues Drive forecasting and planning for the company Plan out opening and future operational costs for new locations and retail expansions Experience & Brand Execution Ensure consistent, high-quality guest experience, catered to Burial brand objectives Prioritize unique brand of hospitality Collaborate with the CSO and Leadership team to create the standards of aesthetics and hospitality delivered by our teams ("Hospitality Standards") within all retail business outlets and their shops Align with Brand Team on public programming, private events, market activations, and retail location aesthetic Develop methods of collecting useful customer feedback Develop operational concepts for retail expansions and new locations Systems & Process Standardize the company's reporting cadence, KPI dashboard, and communication rhythms Build systems of resolution so Experience Managers don’t rely on escalation and can solve issues Responsible for establishing regular financial tools
