Job Title: Director of Strategic Systems Engineering Location: Multi-Site (Cape May, NJ; Santa Fe Springs, CA; Blacks Harbour, NB, Canada) Reports To: Sr. Director of Operations Travel: Up to 50% (as needed to support each plant) PURPOSE Collaborates with corporate engineering, manages capital expenditures, and supports factory engineering. Drives process optimization through automation and process re-engineering. Provides leadership and technical input on major cross functional projects. RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and develop process optimization, process technology and process re-engineering opportunities that deliver product innovation, cost reduction and / or quality improvement. Focus will rely heavily on automation and control system implementation/improvement Solve technical issues and lead root cause teams. Gather relevant criteria, analyze and propose strategic business initiatives/solutions Manage all aspects of project planning and execution including RFPs, issuing technical specifications, management of vendors, installation, and factory acceptance testing Work as a Project leader to drive key cross-functional projects Position will focus on automation, process improvement, energy usage optimization, factory sustainability efforts, establishing equipment and spare parts standard and driving capital expenditure process Expand in-house automation and engineering capabilities Remote position with up to 40% travel required QUALIFICATIONS B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field Minimum 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment and applicable experience in technical, operations or engineering positions is required.
