Director of Teaching and Learning

Full Year- 261 DaysThe Director of Teaching & Learning (Director) is responsible for providing leadership and management of programs and initiatives to improve adult learning and teaching, and student learning, across the district. Duties associated with this position include: provision of data for administrators and staff to analyze and improve instruction and achievement; coordination of curriculum development; coordination of professional development and educator collaboration; accountability for monitoring and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations; preparation of grants; and expenditure of funds.The Director will assume direct accountability for district results related to Title I, teaching certification and effectiveness, curriculum, oversight of building level implementation of RTI efforts, professional development, and oversight of the analysis and dissemination of standardized test results. The Director will assist the superintendent in the development, interpretation and implementation of school district policies and procedures.
