As we expand our reach and deepen our community impact, we are seeking a strategic and mission-aligned Director of Philanthropy, Grants & Community Engagement to join our growing team. The Role This part-time, independent contractor position is fully remote and designed for an experienced philanthropy professional who is passionate about empowering women and advancing mission-driven organizations. You will lead Emerge's grant strategy, cultivate donor and community relationships, and position the organization for sustainable philanthropic growth. What You'll Do Identify, research, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with Emerge's mission from foundations, government agencies, and corporate partners Write and submit compelling grant proposals and manage reporting requirements for awarded grants Build and steward relationships with donors, community partners, and philanthropic organizations Develop and execute a community engagement strategy that elevates Emerge's visibility and impact Collaborate with the CEO to align philanthropic initiatives with organizational goals and growth priorities Track and report on fundraising metrics, grant pipelines, and community partnership outcomes What You Bring 5+ years of experience in philanthropy, grant writing, fundraising, and/or community engagement A proven track record of securing grants and building donor relationships Exceptional written communication skills — you can tell a mission-driven story that moves people to act Experience working with nonprofit, faith-based, and/or women-focused organizations is strongly preferred Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-moving environment Alignment with Emerge's faith-based values and commitment to empowering women
