Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Food Preparation Worker to join our team in the Dietary department. As a Food Preparation Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and catering services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with food handling, preparation, and menu planning while maintaining high standards of food safety. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and portion sizes Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients Help with menu planning and catering for special events or dietary restrictions Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and storing food properly Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal service Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or food service setting Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods Familiarity with menu planning and catering practices is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Note: All positions at our company are paid positions.
