Overview Small, Japanese family-owned restaurant is looking for a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist. In this role, you'll ensure the cleanliness and organization of kitchenware, assist in food preparation, and support the culinary team to keep operations running smoothly. Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently to maintain high standards of cleanliness Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for service Support catering and banquet events by preparing food items and ensuring timely setup and cleanup Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, dining areas, and service spaces through regular cleaning routines Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols Buss tables during service to ensure a clean and inviting environment for guests Collaborate with kitchen staff to support smooth workflow during busy service periods Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred. Knowledge of basic food handling safety standards and sanitation practices Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending comfortably Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization Experience with food preparation or catering is a plus, including banquet experience or hotel kitchen roles Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced setting *WE ARE ALSO OPEN FOR OTHER POSITIONS SUCH AS SERVERS/WAITRESSES AND SUSHI CHEFS.
