Sweitzer Waste Removal is an established and growing waste collection company that offers competitive compensation and full benefits.Dispatcher Job Summary Communicates with Drivers to assist with problem resolution while on route for residential, commercial and roll-off dumpsters.Handles incoming service orders, Directs drivers, and resolves service issues.Interacts with customers Uses Windows based software to enter information and track activity.Shift:6 AM - 5 PM M-F with potential for overtime and Saturday hours depending on holidays and service needs.Responsibilities Dispatches drivers using information of customer needs, drivers locations and loads, and daily factors to balance cost and efficiency Works with Owner and Drivers to optimize routes Determines daily level of driver staffing to service our customer needs efficiently Assigns routes and service requests to appropriate Drivers throughout the day and for the next day Handles incoming calls and e-mails from Customer Service and customers Initiates outbound calls to customers while drivers are on-site, resolving pick-up and other issues.Troubleshoots and resolves potential delivery and service issues before they result in service interruptions Communicates with maintenance shop personnel and serves as an emergency point of contact for truck breakdowns Qualifications High School Diploma.College Degree preferred Two years of prior experience in dispatching in solid waste or similar businesses Computer skills with ability to handle multiple programs and systems Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally via e-mail, telephone, and 2 way devices Must have proficiency using Microsoft Office Please submit resume to be considered.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule:10 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime Experience:Dispatching:2 years (Preferred) License/Certification:Driver's License (Required) Work Location:In person.
