Life Vision Eyecare is a new private practice with an emphasis on creating a culture where patients and team members feel they are part of a family.Our opticians will be responsible for the selecting, fitting, and dispensing glasses and be expected to answer phones, schedule patients and other tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis while providing a great interpersonal experience for our patients.We are looking for a candidate that has experience in the field, exceptional communication skills, is flexible as the office grows, has the ability to multitask, is organized, has a passion for the work and wants to help our company offer the best care to our community.Candidate requirements:The most important requirement is a positive attitude where there is a genuine desire to help others and work positively with your teammates.High School Diploma or equivalent Prefer at least 3 years of experience in the optical field; however, this is not required and if an employee is highly motivated with a positive attitude, we are willing to train to for a state license in opticianry.State optical license is highly recommended or motivated to obtain a state optical license Familiarity working with many vision plans including EyeMed, VSP, Spectera, and Davis Vision, etc.Great interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with patients and teammates Ability to multitask and keep organized Positive attitude Motivation to truly help and aid our patients in their eye health and optical needs Job Responsibilities:Ability to discuss and select premium quality eyewear, sunwear and contact lenses for our patients Skilled in fitting, adjusting, and dispensing eyewear To be familiar with our optical inventory and ophthalmic products to provide the most appropriate selections for the patient Edge lenses with in-house optical equipment Answer phones to schedule patients and answer general questions Verify insurances and interpret benefits from a large variety of medical and vision plans Have the willingness and flexibility to learn and adapt in a variety of situations Must have the desire and investment in the practice to help with promotion and growth Compensation depends on experience and skill level.Serious candidates may email or call Dr.Kim Cooper at 269-367-2626.To learn more about our practice, visit www.lifevisioneyecare.com.Job Types:Full-time, Part-time Pay:Up to $18.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Compensation Package:Bonus opportunities Schedule:Day shift Monday to Friday Education:High school or equivalent (Required) Experience:Optical Experience:3 years (Preferred) License/Certification:State Optician's License (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
