Top-tier firm + career growth Impactful grid modernization work About Our Client We are seeking a Distribution Engineer to support a growing portfolio of electric utility distribution projects across North Carolina. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and execution of overhead and underground distribution systems ranging from 4kV to 35kV.You'll work alongside a highly respected engineering team delivering reliable, modernized power infrastructure for major utility clients. Job Description Design and develop overhead and underground distribution systems (4kV-35kV) Perform line routing, voltage drop, and load calculations Create construction packages including plan & profile drawings, BOMs, and specifications Utilize tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS platforms Conduct field data collection, site visits, and constructability reviews Support storm hardening, grid modernization, and reliability improvement projects Coordinate with utilities, municipalities, and internal engineering teams Ensure designs meet NESC, NEC, and utility standards MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
