Job SummaryThe Dock Manager assists the Harbormaster with day-to-day operations and various projects related to managing port facilities.This includes coordinating regular inspections and maintenance of all fishing docks and related infrastructure under the jurisdiction of the Port Authority.Responsibilities include managing usage of the facilities, enforcing rules & regulations, and promoting environmental stewardship.This position is supervised by the Harbormaster.Job Duties - Effectively interacts with customers, co-workers, vendors, outside entities and the general public to obtain and provide information and assistance in a variety of circumstances; screens and responds to inquiries and complaints; provides information on policies and procedures.? Manages the security, maintenance and proper usage of commercial floats, T-dock, cranes, pot storage, net recycling, waste oil facility and all other equipment and operations under the jurisdiction of the Port Authority.? Participates as a member of the Port Authority's emergency response team to help address critical safety issues, sinking vessels, pollution response, heavy weather and emergency repairs.? Holds self and others to high standards regarding compliance with Port Authority rules and regulations.Enforces Port Authority rules and regulations as allowed by Tribal Code ? Collects fees and payments and processes them in accordance with Port Authority policies.? Because of the Tribe's commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time.Such Duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.Minimum Qualifications Two years' experience in a related field.Current and valid Washington State Driver's License, or ability to obtain one within a year of hiring.High School Diploma Current OSHA Forklift Certification, or ability to obtain one within a year of hiring REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES ? Experience with maintenance of infrastructure in a marine environment ? Attention to detail ? Ability to complete projects within specified timeframes ? Good oral and written communication skills ? Experience in established effective working relationships with diverse groups and individuals ?
