Experienced Document Controller Houston, TX (Hybrid)Oil & Gas / Engineering Environment Job Summary Cyient is seeking an Experienced Document Controller / Project Document Controller to support engineering and project teams within an Oil & Gas environment.This role is responsible for managing engineering and supplier documentation, maintaining document control systems, and coordinating closely with internal project teams and external suppliers to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant document delivery.This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven setting.Key Responsibilities Manage the full document control lifecycle, including receipt, logging, revision control, distribution, and archiving of project documentation Maintain and update Supplier Document Lists (SDL), document registers, and transmittals Coordinate documentation with engineering teams, project managers, and external suppliers Ensure compliance with project document control procedures, numbering conventions, and turnaround times Support project audits, reporting, and document closeout activities Prioritize and manage multiple tasks across concurrent projects Minimum Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Document Control experience, preferably within Engineering or Engineering Manufacturing in an Oil & Gas environment Prior experience as a Project Document Controller strongly preferred Hands-on experience with OpenText or a similar Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) Proven experience working with Supplier Document Lists (SDL) and supplier/vendor documentation Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Open-minded, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach to challenges Strong English written and verbal communication skills, required for coordination with internal project teams and suppliers Nice to Have Experience supporting EPC or multi-discipline engineering projects Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor data deliverables Experience working in a hybrid work environment Why Join Cyient Work on impactful engineering projects in the Oil & Gas sector Collaborative, professional team environment Opportunity to apply and grow your document control expertise on active projects Job Type:Contract Pay:$26.76 - $32.23 per hour Work Location:Hybrid remote in Houston, TX 77077.
