Document Delivery Specialist – Part-Time (Flexible) Location: Durham, NC and Surrounding Areas Position Type: Part-Time | Flexible Hours We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Document Delivery Specialist. This role is responsible for assisting with permit pickups, application drop-offs, and close-out document deliveries related to construction projects throughout Durham and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working independently while representing the company in municipal offices and at job sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for supplemental income and a highly flexible schedule. Hours will vary based on project needs and permit activity, with some weeks requiring several hours of work and other weeks requiring little to no time. Most tasks occur during standard business hours, though some document deliveries may be completed after hours when needed. This position is perfect for retirees, stay-at-home parents, gig workers, or anyone looking for a flexible side position with a growing construction-based company. Key Responsibilities Travel to municipalities and permit offices Deliver documents to job sites and properties Ensure all documents are delivered accurately and on time Coordinate trips efficiently by combining multiple stops when possible Maintain professionalism while interacting with municipal staff and customers Service Areas Travel may include (but is not limited to): Clayton Edgecombe County Greensboro Lumberton Reidsville Roxboro Sanford Most trips are within approximately 1.5 hours from the office, with an average of around 2 hours total driving time per trip. Schedule & Flexibility Permit-related tasks must be completed during standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Document deliveries may occasionally be completed after hours (within reason) Work is scheduled as needed based on project and permit activity Compensation $19 hour plus gas card Qualifications Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Strong time management and organizational skills Comfortable driving 1–2 hours per trip Dependable and able to work independently Professional and courteous when interacting with municipal offices Maintain a clean, professional appearance when representing the company publicly Preferred (Not Required) Previous experience with: Construction permits Courier or delivery work Why Join Us?
