GENERAL DESCRIPTION:A telecommunications company, located in Cold Spring, KY is looking to hire an Document Scanning Associate that will be responsible to electronically convert and electronically deliver documents to inmates at various correctional institutions.Essential Functions:The functions listed below are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed the Document Scanning Associate.Primarily responsible to retrieve all inmate documents from the company's P.O.box.Sort documents by the appropriate correctional facility.Remove documents from its envelope and examine the contents to make certain it is in line with the agreed upon guidelines, provided by the associated correctional facility.Identify and appropriately dispose of any contraband items found in the mail.Review the written and illustrative content of the correspondence for any information that is relevant to inmate management, assuring that any such content is flagged and shared with the inmate facilities staff before passing it through.Act as the subject matter expert in inmate document processing, including computer, scanner, Outlook emailing and electronic & physical document storage guidelines.Train other employees on areas of expertise, as needed.May also be responsible to coordinate corporate mail activity with areas within the company by carefully scheduling delivery times and places, keeping to a strict schedule that will not interfere with those activities necessary to maintain the flow of business & corporate mail Qualifications PREFERENCES:Preference may be given to applicants who have mailroom experience or who have worked in a Correctional setting.KNOWLEDGE:Basic computer skills and scanner usage.MINIMUM Qualifications:Education:High School Diploma Experience:0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Business) Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Must be able to lift 50 pounds, withstand weather extremes, and maintain good working relationships with staff.Possible exposure to hazardous materials, required to handle time-sensitive mail, driving of delivery vehicles, and operation of mailroom equipment.Exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions.Walking on cement floors on a regular basis Stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching on an occasional basis Reaching on a regular basis Typing/Repetitive motion on a frequent basis Talking/hearing on a frequent basis Seeing:the visual ability to perform an activity such as analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading.NOTES:Must pass a background check FULL TIME and BENEFITS, PTO, 401K and ESOP.
