Overview We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pet Bather to join our pet grooming team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent handling skills, and experience in pet grooming and animal restraint. This role involves providing high-quality bathing services to a variety of dogs, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. The Pet Bather will play a vital role in maintaining the health and hygiene of our furry clients while supporting overall pet wellness. Prior experience in veterinary settings or animal handling is highly desirable, along with strong customer service skills. Responsibilities Safely bathe, and dry pets according to breed standards and client preferences Handle pets gently and effectively to ensure their comfort during bathing and drying Restrain pets safely using appropriate techniques to facilitate grooming activities Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work areas Monitor pets for signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions Assist front desk staff with animal handling Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, animal restraint, and hygiene standards Experience Prior pet bathing experience is preferred, including knowledge of dog training and pet handling techniques Veterinary technician or assistant experience is advantageous, especially with animal restraint and care procedures Experience working with animals such as dogs, and cats, in a kennel or pet sitting environment is beneficial Familiarity with veterinary or animal care environments enhances ability to handle pets safely and effectively Strong background in animal handling, pet care, and customer service is essential for success in this role Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or pet handling tasks This position offers an engaging opportunity to work closely with animals while providing essential bathing services that contribute to their health and happiness.
