In this energetic role, you will provide top-quality grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine clients.Your positive attitude and attention to detail will ensure every pet leaves looking and feeling their best.This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to combine your love for animals with a rewarding career in pet care.Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Assess each pet's coat condition and skin health to recommend appropriate grooming treatments Handle dogs safely and compassionately using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Maintain a clean and hygienic grooming station by sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide after-care advice Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize service flow and customer satisfaction Assist with pet handling, training, or basic veterinary care when needed, demonstrating versatility in animal handling skills Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, with a strong understanding of different coat types and grooming techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience is highly desirable Familiarity with animal handling, restraint, and care practices for dogs and other small animals Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, or equine experience, is a plus but not required Ability to lift heavy objects such as grooming equipment or large dogs safely and comfortably Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background demonstrates reliability and animal care expertise Join us if you're passionate about making pets look their best while providing compassionate care!
