Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure both pet and groomer safety Assess each dog’s coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing care or veterinary referral if needed Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes to ensure a smooth customer experience Support other animal care duties such as kennel cleaning or pet sitting as required to promote overall well-being of the animals Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of different coat types and grooming techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and animal handling skills to manage dogs of various temperaments confidently Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is highly desirable for understanding health-related grooming considerations Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care best practices to ensure safety during grooming sessions Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large dogs or equipment Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and provide a positive experience Prior kennel or pet sitting experience is a plus for understanding overall animal care needs Passion for animals combined with energetic enthusiasm to create an engaging working environment Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
