Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Kennel Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a commitment to ensuring the well-being of pets in our facility. This role involves providing daily care, supervision, and support for dogs and puppies in our kennel environment. The Kennel Staff will work closely with a team to maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing atmosphere for all pets. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed. Engage in basic training exercises with dogs to promote good behavior and socialization. Provide companionship and attention to pets to ensure their emotional well-being. Support pet grooming activities as required, ensuring pets are clean and well-groomed. Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to animal handling or transporting supplies. Skills . Proficient in Animal Handling techniques to ensure safety for both staff and animals. Familiarity with Kennel operations and best practices for animal care. Knowledge of Animal Restraint methods for safe handling during procedures. Strong Pet Care skills, including feeding, bathing, and general maintenance of pet hygiene. Ability to perform Pet Grooming tasks when necessary. Capability for Heavy Lifting as required in the kennel environment. Experience in Pet Sitting can be beneficial for understanding pet needs.
