Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers to join the Happy Hearts Pet Care TEAM. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing excellent care for dogs, cats and all other furry, feathered and finned pets in the SOUTH Ann Arbor to Saline area . This role mostly involves caring for dogs and cats in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while also providing companionship and exercise while their owners work longs hours, are on vacation or just need assistance to care for their pets. We work in shifts with team members choosing to work early mornings, mid-days, afternoons or evenings and also able to choose which days of the week they wish to offer pet care. So it's easy to work around your other job, school, family time or hobbies. Most jobs are scheduled for 30min visit and pay starts at $14 per visit and we schedule jobs in close proximity of each other so there is limited excess driving. You can learn more about us on our website happyheartspetcare.com Duties Walk dogs in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to all leash laws and regulations. Monitor the behavior and health of each pet in our care, reporting any concerns to the HHPC team and pet owner. Communicate effectively with admin/HHPC team and pet owners regarding pets behavior and needs. Assist with pet sitting duties as needed, including feeding, cleaning food/water bowls and area, tending litter boxes, grooming, play time and administering medications. Home care includes bring in mail/packages, changing lights, closing/opening window treatments, taking garbage/recycle out/in, watering indoor and outdoor plants as requested by owner. Requirements Team member candidates Must be at least 21yrs of age. Must pass a criminal background check. Have experience caring for pets. Must be able to work holidays and weekends Must live within 10miles of Ann Arbor. Must have reliable transportation (NOT A BIKE OR BUS). Must have a smart phone and able to use a scheduling app. Customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Be open to learn more about animal behavior and best care practices.
