Domestic Lead

Domestic Lead The Domestic Lead is responsible for the efficient movement of shipments from origin to destination including identifying and selecting the most appropriate and cost effective domestic routing including airfreight, LTL, FTL and overall support of branch operations. This role is the primary contact for cartage including pickup and deliveries through our in-house cartage partner, warehouse and dock operations. Responsibilities include Assisting the Domestic Supervisor in managing functions in the department and working closely with the warehouse team such as inbound labels/paperwork and check in drivers Quoting, tracking, and tracing domestic freight shipments moving for more challenging accounts via air/ground on a daily basis. Track overhead shipments daily and route accordingly Manually reviewing our OPS Routing queue throughout the day. Managing daily reports, such as milestones and dock check Assisting in escalation requests, researching and addressing issues with employees. Updating processes to fit resolutions and continuing process improvement flow Taking an active role in the onboarding of new team members. Providing team training and development. Managing daily reports, such as milestones and dock check Assisting Operations Supervisor with project rollouts, as needed Communicating quarterly and annually goals and monitoring employee's goals progress Proactively communicating with clients regarding the status of freight Performing other duties as assigned Complying with all policies and standards The wage range for this position is $30.50-$43.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience Qualifications include: Education: High School Degree or equivalent (Required), Associate's Degree (Preferred) Experience: 5+ years Experience in Freig
