Good day! We are A Simple Gesture.We run a new program for Sonoma, Marin, Mendocino and Napa that helps households and businesses, churches and schools to operate a recurring food drive.It's very easy.A donor registers on our website.They receive a reusable grocery bag (see picture) with a Needs List.They fill the bag with those items (mostly pantry foods; canned foods, pasta, peanut butter, etc) and set it outside their doorstep.Our volunteer drivers pick up the food and take it to area Food Banks and Pantries.Although simple, it's also impactful.We started in Oct of 2025 in the North Bay Area and have already collected more than 100,000 pounds of food.It's changing the landscape for small food pantries that help local communities end hunger and food insecurity because the food we bring in is the best food; the food they would otherwise have to buy.We need people to help us register new donors.This work would be done at Farmers Markets, in front of Grocery Stores, and other community fairs and events.It's not a Sales Job, we don't want to talk anyone into doing it.We are just looking for concerned community citizens that want an easy way to do something good.Filling a bag and putting on their doorstep is pretty easy! We are primarily looking for people to work as a contract service.Meaning, we pay a flat hourly wage to you without any withholding.We would not be your employer, we would be your client.This means things like; the work is part time, allowing you to provide the same or similar services to other clients.You choose your hours of work, and often the place the work takes place.You bring the required skills to the job.The pay rate is a flat $25/hour.The desired result is to register at least 2 people per billed hour.This job is unique and can be extremely rewarding.When you register someone, you will know you just signed someone up that will donate food over and over again to help your local community thrive.If you are interested it's important that you don't just send your resume, we need to know why you are interested and why you think this is a good fit for you.You can read more about our program at www.ASGHelps.org.Thank you!
