Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Door Service Technician to join our team.In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of door hardware and access control systems and related hardware across commercial.Most will be replacing excisting hardware or upgrading.Your expertise will ensure that doors are functional, secure, and meet safety standards, contributing to the overall success of our projects.This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on work, technical problem-solving, and craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.All work performed is paid, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.There will be some travel and on occasion overnight travel through Missouri and Kansas.Responsibilities Install, repair, and service various types of doors including metal, wood, glass, and specialty doors using hand tools and power tools.Read and interpret schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute door fabrication and service projects.Perform troubleshooting and installing access control and panic alarms as needed.Conduct heavy lifting of doors, hardware, and materials safely to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites.Hang door hardware securely within frames using carpentry techniques such as frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing as needed.Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and soundproofing of installed doors.Install related fixtures such as locks, handles, hinges, and electronic access systems as needed Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprint reading skills to complete tasks accurately while adhering to safety protocols.Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while following all safety standards throughout each project.Skills Proficiency in hardware installation and door clousures using techniques for various door types.Strong mechanical knowledge for fabricating custom components.Experience with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels as well as power tools including drills and saws.Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing large or awkwardly shaped doors or hardware sometimes above your head.Knowledge of access control keypads a plus.Skilled in caulking, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, metal stud framing, remodeling projects and fixture installation.Mechanical aptitude with understanding of schematics related to door hardware or electronic systems.Dyna lock experiance a plus Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship!
