Volunteers with BIG HEARTS are needed to provide support and companionship to elders with life-limiting illnesses. Your compassion will bring joy, comfort and connection to patients as they enter their last stages of life. You will receive an orientation and training, and will be well-supported by the hospice team. What can you do as a hospice patient volunteer? Friendly visit with patient Be a listening ear Play cards or a game Sit outdoors with them on a patio Walk their dog Play a musical instrument and/or sing Read a book Write letters that the patient dictates
