Job description Purpose The main objective of the Field Service Technician position is to successfully deliver JC BeerTech service offerings in accordance with company processes and guidelines. Position Details Position Title Field Service Technician Direct Report Operations Manager Business Line Draft Beer Line Cleaning, & Service Calls Client Profile Any establishment which sells draft beer (bars, restaurants, hotels, golf courses, banquet halls, ballparks, airports, convention centers, etc) Territory DETROIT, MI and Surrounding Areas (Lower Peninsula) Roles & Responsibilities: The Field Service Technician will mainly be responsible for delivering JC BeerTech's Service offerings. As a Field Service Technician, you are the primary external representative of our organization and required to convey a sense of expertise in our draft beer services. The following Field Service Technician activities include but are not limited to; Service Offerings Perform assembly and installation of equipment on a new clients first cleaning. Clean draft beer lines in accordance with our company's processes and check lists. Educate the client on the preventative measures which they need to perform routinely. Accountable for effectively managing a service route and schedule. Communicate the service rendered and abnormal circumstances with onsite client manager. Assess and report the current compressed air levels for applicable accounts. Troubleshoot and diagnosis issues with the draft beer system by phone or while onsite. Perform maintenance and repairs on the clients draft beer systems. Deliver and install parts, supplies and gas to customers as required. Ensure compliance is satisfied by properly completing the on-site service log sheet. Update your supervisor with significant problems, progress or difficulties. Miscellaneous Establish and maintain good relations with customer by providing professional service. Complete the required administrative tasks, timesheets, miles report, service logs, etc. Accountable for complying with all service policies and procedures. Recommend approaches to improve the service delivery process. Available to work "on call" during non-scheduled hours (nights, weekends). Dialogue with the office on any operational updates, status, issues, etc. Desired Candidate Minimum 2 years' experience as a field service technician in a related field. Mechanically inclined individual who can learn and retain information quickly Ability to adhere to outlined processes, procedures, guidelines and checklists. Independent and reliable person who can effectively manage a service route and schedule. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills. Available to work during non-scheduled hours (nights, weekends, etc) Capable of diagnosing and solving problems Valid driver license and reliable transportation are required - MUST BE 21 OR OVER Compensation Package Receive an hourly wage of $15.00 per hour worked when assigned your own route Eligible for a $.50 increase after 6 months contingent upon a performance evaluation. Earn a $300 car allowance when you average 36 hours worked in 6 consecutive weeks. Reimbursement for gas upon the timely submittal of applicable receipts and miles report. Receive an American Express credit card upon 3 months of reputable service. A car allowance is a monthly payment to an employee to cover the wear and tear on their personal vehicle. By receiving a car allowance, of any value, the employee waives their rights to seek reimbursement from JC BeerTech for any maintenance, repairs and service on the vehicle.
