JCSI is partnering with clients in the Transportation & Logistics industry to hire a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to support their growing operations. In this role, you will operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight between client locations, distribution centers, and customer sites, ensuring on-time, accurate, and secure deliveries. As a CDL Driver, you will be a critical front-line representative of both JCSI and our clients, providing professional, courteous service at every stop. You will be responsible for conducting thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, identifying and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns in accordance with DOT and company standards. You will follow all FMCSA regulations, including hours-of-service requirements and the use of electronic logging devices, while practicing defensive driving techniques to maintain the highest standards of road safety. Your day-to-day work will include planning efficient routes, managing schedules to meet delivery windows, and handling freight with care, including loading and unloading when required and verifying shipment accuracy and condition. This position calls for strong attention to detail, solid time management, and a commitment to regulatory compliance. You will maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and related documentation, ensuring all reports are completed clearly and on time. Regular communication with dispatchers and client contacts is essential to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries, navigate changing conditions, and resolve any service issues that may arise on the road. While you will primarily work independently in the field, you will be supported by the collaborative and innovative culture JCSI brings to every client relationship. You will participate in safety meetings and training sessions designed to enhance your skills, reinforce best practices, and continuously improve transportation and logistics performance. The ideal candidate holds a valid Class A CDL, has a clean driving record, and demonstrates a strong safety mindset. A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, and a current DOT medical card is essential. Hazardous materials endorsements or other specialized certifications are a plus and may open up additional driving opportunities with client accounts.
