PFG Customized is a leading provider of food service distribution solutions, specializing in delivering high-quality food and related products to a wide range of dining establishments. We are seeking a detail-oriented Driver Check-in professional to support our Transportation & Logistics department and help ensure that every delivery route ends as smoothly as it begins. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for drivers returning from their routes, playing a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory, clean documentation, and a safe, efficient operation. As each driver arrives, you will review and verify their paperwork, including invoices, manifests, and route sheets, confirming that delivered and returned products match what is recorded. You will inspect returned items for damage, temperature compliance, and adherence to food safety standards, and document any shortages, overages, mis-picks, refusals, or credits in our systems. Working closely with transportation, warehouse, and customer service teams, you will help resolve discrepancies and delivery issues, supporting our commitment to exceptional customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for accurate data entry into warehouse or transportation management systems, ensuring current and reliable information for inventory control and route reconciliation. Your careful attention to detail will help prevent errors, reduce waste, and support efficient product flow throughout the facility. This position is on-site within our distribution environment and involves regular interaction with commercial drivers, material handling equipment, and refrigerated or frozen food products. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active setting that may require periods of standing, walking, bending, and light to moderate lifting while maintaining focus and accuracy. Ideal candidates bring prior experience in transportation, logistics, or warehouse operations, especially within food and beverage distribution. Strong basic computer and data entry skills, the ability to read and interpret delivery documents, and a solid understanding of inventory and product flow will help you be successful in this role. Knowledge of food safety practices and familiarity with pallet jacks or other material handling equipment are helpful.
