Job Summary The Driver Coach & Trainer at Arc3 Gases will be based out of the Richmond, VA area and will report to and assist the Fleet Safety & Compliance Manager, John Toler, with the Samsara coaching and training program for Arc3's entire commercial fleet. The Driver Coach & Trainer will work with Fleet Management, Branch Operations Management, the Cryogenics group, the BevCarb team, and others to support our operations and our drivers. He/she will assist with the Entry-Level Driver Training program, which helps new employees acquire their CDLs in an effective and efficient manner. And he/she will generally advocate for drivers with the Fleet Safety & Compliance Manager to ensure that Arc3 is creating a safe work environment and to make Arc3 the premier employer for drivers in our region. Primary Duties Include: Monitoring the Samsara Dash Cam / Telematics program: Educate drivers on how the system functions Build trust with the drivers Adjust Samsara's triggering parameters to promote safety Adjust the appropriate triggering events to monitor, and continually evaluate what product features to use Address unsafe driving and implement it consistently and fairly Use concrete, objective data to set measurable goals for drivers and track performance against those goals Maintain records of driver coaching and interventions Coach drivers to address unsafe driving practices and violations of company policy Educate drivers on the programs and processes to acknowledge /
