Job Description
This position is part time and will not turn into a full time position. This position is a permanent position and not a contract. We are seeking individuals who are interested in longevity with a company. Candidates must live within 10 miles of Bremerton or Port Orchard. Punctuality and regular attendance are mandatory for this position. Overview: The Collector’s primary responsibility is to provide coverage in the field onsite location ensuring that collections are completed accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment for clients, and employees, perform with confidence all aspects of the testing, including specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Responsibilities: Responsible for the safe and timely transporting of specimens, supplies, equipment and materials to the appropriate destination. Collects specimens for drug screenings. Perform 4-5 panel drug screens. Label specimens as required. Send forms right away to the Direct Manager. Provides customer service to clients. Demonstrates organizational commitment. Adheres to departmental and company code of grooming, dress code and lab coat policies; appearing neat and clean at all times. Be aware of smoke residue and heavy fragrances. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations Wear company-issued identification badge at all times during work assignments. Reports on time to site within specified guidelines. Ability to adhere to company attendance guidelines. Communicates appropriately with customers, clients and Direct Manager. Responsible for the safe and timely transporting of specimens, supplies, equipment and materials to the appropriate destination. Maintains daily records of each specimen collected. Daily records sent to the Direct Manager in a timely manner. Pay Range: $23-25 an hour. Hourly pay offered is based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Hours of Operation: This is a part time position at 20 hours a week. Hours are Monday-Friday 12-3p. Previous Experience: Drug screen collector experienced preffered. Will train those with a medical background. Physical and Mental Requirements: Sitting, standing and lifting no more than 20 pounds. Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions. Ability to concentrate on the task at hand. Must be comfortable handling biological specimens. Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; is able to manage concerns of patients and employees in a professional manner. Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment. Seek the guidance of the Direct Manager when appropriate.
