We are currently hiring Shirt Pressers, Pants Pressers and Silks/Utility Pressers for our Arbors location.Production usually begins around 7 am until mid-afternoon, typically 6 days a week.Expertise and knowledge of fashion trends and how finished garments should look is a plus.Pressers accurately but efficiently iron and press by machine or hand using steam and vacuum.No experience needed, we will provide you with hands on Tide Cleaners training and all of the tools you need to be successful.We offer competitive pay in a New Air-Conditioned Facility with well maintained equipment.Responsibilities and Duties Know the basics of pressing and be able to adapt to the challenges of properly finishing new and seasonal fashion styles and fabrics Accurately but efficiently iron and press clean articles by hand or by machine steam and vacuum Learn the basic operations of pressing station. Responsible for finishing laundered/dry cleaned garments in a timely manner, according to established quality standards. Operate steam, hydraulic, or other pressing machines to remove wrinkles from garments and flatwork items, or to shape and form articles to company standards. Understand the basics of garment construction. Be able to recognize common spots and stains. Lifting of up to 20-30 pounds of fabric.Requirements 1 year experience preferred, but not required. Requires standing while working, repetitive movement, and using hands and feet to operate equipment. Maintain quality and production standards. Follow safety procedures and guidelines. Regular and reliable attendance.
