Durango School Distrtict is accepting applications from CURRENT DURANGO HIGH SCHOOL OR CURRENT BIG PICTURE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS for Summer Student Level Cleaners. This is an Adjunct Position. The work hours during the summer months will be 24 - 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday. Summer month work is scheduled during the day shift only. No evening shifts will be available during the summer months. Summer work is availbale starting May 26, 2026 to August 18, 2026. During the summer months, shift schedules will be avaialbe on assigned days Monday - Friday. Full time employees will work 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Part time employees will work within that time frame. Position Reequirements: Student must be currently enrolled as a student at Durango High School or Big Picture High School Student must be at least 15 years of age Student must report to the Facilites Warehouse 28745 Hwy 160 and be ready to begin work by 7:30 AM on assigned day. Duties will include: Sweeping with a broom and dust pan set up Sweeping using vacuums, including vacuum backpacks Removing trash and recycling from th interior of the building - trash and recycling is collected and removed from receptacles in the building and is moved to exterior dumpsters Cleaning white boards and chalkboards Cleaning the surfaces such as tables and desks Moving furniture up to 50 pounds Yard work - including weed abatement, raking, sweeping, minor landscape duties Minor painting Durango School District is an equal opportunity educational institution and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, age, marital status, sexual orientation, genetic information, disability or need for special education services in admissions, access to treatment, or employment in educational programs or activities which it operates, or any other applicable status protected by federal, state or local law.
