Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dynamometer Operator to join our remanufacturing team.In this role, you will be responsible for operating transmission dynamometers--specialized testing equipment used to verify proper function of remanufactured transmissions.Your expertise will ensure accurate data collection and quality control during testing processes.This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where precision, technical skills, and safety are paramount.Responsibilities Set up and calibrate dynamometers using technical specifications and standard operating procedures to ensure accurate testing conditions.Verify Part prior to testing using in-house software Operate various types of dynos, including engine, transmission, and component testers, adhering to safety protocols.Monitor real-time data during testing procedures, adjusting parameters as necessary to meet testing standards.Record detailed test results using precision measuring instruments such as controllers and digital gauges.Maintain accurate documentation of test procedures, results, and equipment calibration records for quality control purposes.Assist in the fabrication or modification of test fixtures using fabrication tools to meet specific testing requirements.Support materials handling and packaging processes related to test components or finished products.Qualifications A strong mechanical aptitude Familiarity with factory safety protocols, warehouse experience, and materials handling procedures.Automotive experience Computer skills Knowledge of Dynamometers and other test equipment Basic electrical knowledge/diagnosis ASE A2 Certification Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances.Experience working in a manufacturing facility with a focus on quality assurance and process improvement.Must bring your own tools Pay Scale Pay Scale for the Dyno Operator position starts at $18/hour while training.Once Fully trained, Operators will work on a performance based pay scale.Paid $16 per unit tested to start, with a pay cap of $20 per unit tested.Upon valid completion of ASE A2 certification, a $.75 per unit pay increase will be issued.This also applies to operators at the max cap of $20 per unit tested, making their effective pay $20.75 per unit.Production quota of 10 units tested minimum per shift, However the sky is the limit.Tests as many transmissions as your heart desires within the time allotted.Write your own paycheck!
